The wire is galvanized steel and brass (Gauge 20 /0.80mm) as usual *sigh*
No dimensions right now has i don't have the piece with me to measure it but i will probably get the size and edit later but it's big XD

The color is a little of but not too much

Hope you like it and hope to have some opinions
Take care and God Bless :)

I really like the red. Do you have any other kinds of wire to work with? Maybe to match the stone, or accent it? for example, I would like to see this kind of stone with big polished copper wire, or some such.

The red is even deeper in hand just gorgeous.
I tried doing one with copper but it was too thin (same gauge) to look good and i can't get thicker copper locally.
Gotta get me monies so i can get it from the interwebs :S

Thank you for the great coment :)
it looks really good!
i like the way you've got the 2 colors of wire. it adds some nice depth to the pendant.
and that glass is a wonderful color.

Thank you!
I like the 2 colors together allot so i try, whenever i can, to use them together.
The glass is really gorgeous indeed :)

Thanks for the coment once again :D
good luck with that. we all know how difficult it can be being limited with the materials on hand. I like to think that the universe all works out, and if it does you'll do fine. random chance wouldn't (at least, shouldn't) let an artist like you go without!

Lovely stuff! The two tone effect is great and looks fantastic over the red stone.
You might want to try silver plated copper or brass instead of galvy steel. SP is easier to handle (should be similar to the brass) and won't eat your hands so much. Plus it's probably safer to wear - although the plate will wear over time with frequent use, it won't do any harm. Galvy steel is zinc coated, and you're much more likely to irritate someone's latent allergies with zinc. Plus zinc is poisonous in large quantities. So yeah, either find some SP or if you like the tone of the steel, look for stainless steel instead. I think stainless is usually a bit pricey but silver plate is usually pretty cheap.

I've only ever used galvy for my "clothing" projects, which are designed to be worn over stuff anyway.

And if someone's sold you 20 gauge copper and it's thinner than this stuff, don't go back to them, they are ripping you off. The whole point of gauges is to standardise the wire thickness.

We gotta stay positive...
It sucks not having what i want right now but it will all work out :)
Glad you liked it :)
I got some Stainless steel and i will start using it!
Stainless steel is cheaper around here then sp (go figure) and i do like the tone of the steel so i guess i will start using only Stainless no more galvy.
Thank you so much for all that info :)
About the copper it is in fact the same thickness (even if it isn't by Gauges but by mm) but for it to work it should be thicker then the rest of the wires because it tends to blend too much with the red stone and look thinner

Thanks for the great and informative post :)
Hope to have more like that :P
One source for copper wire locally - Electrical wire! Strip the plastic coating off of it and it works fabulously. Look for 14-2 or even 16-2 wire, which is a little thicker than what you're using and should treat you very well. As a bonus, you can usually find it pretty much for free if you know someone who works in construction; or, you can buy lengths at a hardware store.

The piece is gorgeous, though, I love it!
